We’re delighted to introduce Viktorija Izotova, who joined the Aldgate Vets team in July 2026 as our new Dental Veterinary Surgeon.

Viktorija brings valuable experience and a particular interest in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. With her General Practitioner Certificate in Dentistry and Oral Surgery, she has the knowledge and skills to provide dedicated dental care and is a fantastic addition to the Aldgate team.

Her arrival means our clients can benefit from her experience, while their pets receive the same compassionate, individualised care that is at the heart of everything we do at Aldgate Vets.

A passion for veterinary dentistry

Dental health is an important part of your pet’s overall wellbeing, but problems can be difficult to spot as pets often hide signs of discomfort.

With her dedicated interest in dentistry and oral surgery, Viktorija will help us continue to develop the dental care we provide at Aldgate Vets, from preventative care and routine assessments to more complex oral health needs.

Above all, she believes in treating every pet as an individual, with calm, compassionate care at every stage of their visit.

In Viktorija’s own words

We asked Viktorija what attracted her to Aldgate Vets and what she is looking forward to in her new role.

“I was drawn to Aldgate because of the team’s commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care for every patient. Dentistry is an area I’m particularly passionate about because good oral health can make such a difference to a pet’s comfort and overall wellbeing. I’m really looking forward to getting to know our patients and their owners, and to helping pets feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible throughout their dental care.”

What does Viktorija’s arrival mean for our clients?

Dental disease is one of the most common — and most under-treated — health issues we see in pets, so bringing in dedicated expertise here makes a real difference.

Viktorija’s arrival means we can offer a fuller range of dental care in-house, from preventive and routine treatment through to extractions, surgery, periodontal disease treatment and orthodontics. For clients, that means earlier detection of problems, less need for referral elsewhere, and pets that are more comfortable day to day.

Lucy, Director and Veterinary Surgeon, says:

“Viktorija brings a genuine depth of dental expertise, however what struck me about Viktorija is how she works – thoughtful, thorough and calm with anxious patients, and genuinely enjoys and is good at explaining procedures and treatments to owners. That’s exactly the kind of person we need to lead the dentistry team here, because it’s an area where trust between us and our clients really matters. We’re delighted to have her at the practice .”

Getting to know Viktorija

Of course, there’s more to Viktorija than veterinary dentistry!

Her favourite breed is a German Shepherd, so if you visit with yours and she’s not in surgery, you can bet Viktorija will be paying them lots of attention.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cooking, reading and gardening. She also loves live music, attending concerts/gigs at every opportunity when not caring for our patients.

Her love of travelling has given her plenty of opportunities to explore new places and experience different cultures, while cooking and gardening provide a welcome change of pace from life in practice.

We’re sure our clients will enjoy getting to know Viktorija as she becomes part of the Aldgate community.

Welcome to Aldgate, Viktorija!

We’re thrilled to have Viktorija as part of the Aldgate Vets team and are excited about the knowledge, experience and enthusiasm she brings to our practice.

If you see Viktorija during your next visit, please join us in giving her a warm Aldgate welcome!
