Who we are
Aldgate Veterinary Practice is a proudly independent RCVS-accredited general veterinary practice with sites in the East Yorkshire towns of Driffield & Bridlington.
Aldgate Vets is an independently owned practice with a team of highly experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, reception and Administration Staff based across our sites in Bridlington and Driffield.
Our ambition is to provide the best in preventative, diagnostic and emergency care for all our patients. We also believe strongly in being an excellent employer, providing a happy and safe place to work, and investing in the skills and qualifications of our wonderful team. We currently have certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, small animal medicine and small animal surgery certificate. We also have a diploma holder in animal physiotherapy.
As the only remaining independent practice locally, our aim is to continue the tradition of a high standard of care in a compassionate and down-to-earth manner. Our two directors – Giles Moore and Lucy Butler both have active clinical roles within the practice and live within local communities. We are an RCVS-approved nurse training practice and actively support the development of the nursing team. We have recently achieved ISFM gold standard status.
In our purpose-built small animal practice in Bridlington, we offer 3 surgical theatres, one with laparoscopic facilities, another dedicated to orthopaedic surgery. We also have a CT scanner, a separate dental suite with dental radiography, video endoscopy and gastroscopy. We have a dedicated rehabilitation department, led by our diploma holder, which offers, acupuncture, physiotherapy, laser therapy and hydrotherapy.
We have a dedicated night team for the hospital to support your work/life balance, this offers OOH services to 7 other local practices.
Who we would like to find…
The role is ideally full-time, however part-time applications would be gladly received. Full time is 4 days/week, with a fixed weekday off, Saturday/Sunday day shifts on rotation with time back the following week with a share of working Bank Holiday (with TOIL back).
We are ideally seeking a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who has completed their GDP with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience.
The ideal candidate will be a good all-rounder, we would also be interested to hear from vets with more specialist interests. The Practice encourages CPD and can offer support with starting or completing Certificates.
