Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon Vacancy
We are an Independent, small animal practice based across two sites in East Yorkshire. We have a purpose-built hospital in Bridlington and a smaller, but equally busy practice in Driffield.
Due to on-going expansion, we are seeking an additional Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. The ideal candidate would be someone who has completed their GDP and has a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in clinical practice.
Although we are looking for a good all-rounder; we would also be interested to hear from vets with more specialist interests, including those that have a passion for consulting. The Practice encourages CPD and can offer support with starting or completing Certificates.
Full time is 4 days/week, with a fixed weekday off, Saturday/Sunday day shifts on rotation (1 in 5) with time back the following week with a share of working Bank Holiday (with TOIL back).
No on-call/night shifts as we have a dedicated night team for the hospital to support your work/life balance.
RCVS & BVA funded, private health insurance and pension.
Salary dependent on experience but would start from £37K plus benefits
Our facilities
Both practices are well equipped with dental x-rays, ultrasound, digital x-ray and in house laboratory machines. In addition, the Bridlington practice offers CT, endoscopy and fully equipped laparoscopic, orthopaedic and dental theatres.
We run an OOH service from our Bridlington hospital covering our own, and 8 other local practice’s emergency work.
Our Bridlington hospital is also home to our rehabilitation facility which includes an underwater treadmill, a large 6×4 m hydrotherapy pool and a dedicated rehabilitation consultation room with a wide range of physiotherapy equipment.
Our people
We have a 16-vet team, which is made up of both experienced and more recently qualified vets, including certificate holders in diagnostic imaging, surgery and medicine. We actively encourage further training and professional development. We have a wonderful team of RVNs which again include certificate holders and we are a nurse training practice. We have a dedicated client care team who keep the wheels turning and who are constantly aiming to improve our client experience.

Veterinary Pharmacy Manager
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Veterinary Pharmacy Manager to support the safe, smooth and compliant running of our dispensary. This role is Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm, and requires flexibility to work across both sites to meet the needs of the business during the working day, specifically on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Training and supporting the team
- Maintaining and improving pharmacy processes
- Working closely with vets, nurses, the Client Care Team and the Senior Management Team
- Maintaining safe dispensing, compliance and high standards
- Assisting with some dispensing of prescriptions and checking of prescriptions
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in a veterinary, dispensary, pharmacy or medicines-related role
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Confidence leading, training and supporting others
- A proactive approach to safe, accurate medicines handling
Salary starting from £30,000 pro rata depending on experience

Join our team and help maintain the smooth running of our practice behind the scenes across our Driffield and Bridlington branches. This is a part-time role, with working hours between 9am and 3pm across 3 days per week. Working days are to be agreed with the successful candidate, however Friday’s would be mandatory.
We’re looking for an organised, detail-oriented and reliable Inventory & Product Coordinator to take ownership of our product management and procurement processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working methodically, values accuracy and consistency, and takes pride in ensuring everything runs efficiently.
You’ll be responsible for maintaining our established systems, supporting the clinical team with effective stock management, and ensuring our product database remains accurate and up to date. Your work will play an important part in helping the practice continue to deliver excellent patient care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Source products from various suppliers
- Identify suitable alternative products when items are unavailable or out of stock.
- Create and maintain products within our practice management system (PMS), ensuring accurate net costs, selling prices and mark-ups.
- Set up new sale items and maintain accurate product records.
- Create and update selling bundles within the PMS.
- Implement supplier price increases, ensuring pricing remains accurate and up to date.
- Add and maintain laboratory tests and bundles within Provet
- Audit bookings and invoices to help ensure charges are applied correctly.
- Maintain a logical and consistent subgroup structure within the PMS to support reporting, stock management and future price updates.
- Produce and analyse PMS sales reports to support informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure product information is accurate, organised and maintained to a high standard.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Enjoys working with systems, data and processes.
- Takes pride in maintaining accurate records and well-organised systems.
- Is proactive, dependable and able to work independently.
- Has good communication skills and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
- Is confident using computer systems and spreadsheets.
- Experience with our veterinary practice management systems, stock control or purchasing would be an advantage, although full training can be provided.
- Previous experience within a veterinary practice would be beneficial but is not essential.

Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, friendly and efficient individual to join our team of friendly Vets, Nurses, VCA’s, Receptionists and Support Staff as a Veterinary Care Assistant.
The role is varied and rewarding and plays an important part in patient care within the Practice.
Your tasks will include (but not limited to):
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, including infection control
- Assisting in inpatient care
- Preparing and maintaining equipment- to include cleaning, packing and preparing surgical equipment for use
- Assisting vets and nurses with animal handling and restraint
- Assisting with the smooth running of theatre procedures
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with animals. Although full training can be provided for the right candidate.
We welcome applications for full or part-time working across shifts between 8.00 am – 8.00 pm, Monday – Sunday (4 days/week – full-time) plus Bank holidays on rota. This role covers both our Practices (Bridlington & Driffield) so you will need to be able to travel to both sites.
