We have had a great press preview day over on Hilderthorpe Road today. As our new building is set to open its doors on Monday 7th November, we hosted members of the press including Radio Humberside (listen here) to give them a sneak peek at our state-of-the-art 2-storey practice.
We took them through our doors and past our impressive new desk to meet patients like Nu the spaniel being treated by Aldgate’s Eleanor. Nu was taking full advantage of our new pool and underwater treadmill to treat her joints. As the treadmill filled with the warm water and the belt began to move you could see the enjoyment and ease at which dogs take to this aquatic treatment, the benefits of which include allowing pets to exercise in a safe and controlled environment.
Veterinary Surgeon Rayana showed our visitors the brand-new hydrotherapy suite which is now filled and warm ready to cater to both canine and feline patients for a number of treatments including rehabilitation, pain management, and weight loss. Get in touch with our team to find out more or book a session.
“She’s definitely taking it in her stride” says Rayana who regularly treats Nu for her age-associated arthritis with treatments such as hydrotherapy and acupuncture. Of the new site, she says: “What an honour it is being able to offer our patients this kind of service”.
Our visitors also got a chance to go behind the Aldgate scenes to view our impressive new piece of kit, the CT scanner. We’re incredibly excited about getting to grips with this technology for the full benefit of our patients.
Along with its fantastic new facilities, the new hospital will also supply accommodation for the Aldgate team and allow the centre to provide 24/7 care on demand for pets and owners when they need it most.
