Veterinary Surgeons

I have been working solely in small animal practice for 8 years now and have made the move to East Yorkshire in 2023 to be close to family. Outside of work I have 2 young children to keep me busy and enjoy being outside on countryside walks with our dog.

I returned to Aldgate this September, and am now married to a farmer and with a family of 3 children, a dog, rescue cat and chickens- life is never dull or quiet. When I can, I live to catch up with friends & family or spend time in my garden, and if I’m lucky I even get 5 minutes’ peace.

I moved to the Wolds to join the team and have a keen interest in large and small animals alike, and a particular interest in diagnostic imaging. When not at work, I enjoy playing the flute in an orchestra and am a black belt in karate.

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, but am particularly interested in endocrinology and soft tissue surgery.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible doing triathlon training and walking my whippet, Bertie.

Having missed the countryside and the large animal aspects of my job, I returned to Yorkshire in 2024. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary but have a particular interest in emergency medicine and laparoscopic surgeries. In my spare time I enjoy hiking with my border collie Lexi.

I joined the Aldgate team in December 2025. I have a keen interest in emergency and critical care as well as anaesthesia.
Outside of work, I love spending time back home in Ireland with my two dogs, Ruby and Daphne!

I recently joined Aldgate as a mixed practice vet and I’m looking forward to working with all creatures great and small! I enjoy spending my spare time with friends, cooking and exploring the Lake District with my two cocker spaniels Milo and Dory.

In my spare time I enjoy hiking, climbing and mountaineering across the country and singing in local choirs.

I’m currently studying for my GP certificate in small animal medicine which is a particular interest of mine. Outside of work I enjoy fell running the moors, reading and spending time with my young family.

Out of Hours Team

I enjoy emergency and critical care and am now one of the Out of Hours vets.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and photography.

I’m a keen runner and love hiking, having completed over 1500 miles as through-hikes on British trails.

Night work can be unpredictable, but that’s all part of the fun! However, my favourite part of the job is being able to give my patients some TLC and hopefully make their stay in the hospital a bit less scary.
Outside of work my one-eyed cat Yzma rules the roost. I also love to go on road trips in my camper van at every opportunity.

I have worked in small animal practice and have experience within a hospital environment.
I have a great passion for emergency care, and providing a high standard of inpatient care for those sick animals that are within our care. Giving them lots of TLC and seeing them go home is so rewarding.
In my spare time, I have three labradors which I love spending time with as they keep me busy. I also enjoy exploring new places and countries.

I enjoy all aspects of nursing but especially love emergency care & being in theatre.
Outside of work I enjoy spending weekends travelling, hiking & exploring with my dachshund, Rupert!
Rehabilitation Team

I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from the University of Liverpool in 2009 and as a Veterinary Physiotherapist from the University of Nottingham in 2023.
I am also a board committee member on the British Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Association.
Outside of work, I enjoy horse riding, reading, travelling, creative writing and trying to reason with my rescue Pomeranian Sebastian.

I am now working as part of the rehabilitation team and have completed my training to be a qualified hydrotherapist and I also have a keen interest in nurse clinics.
Prior to working at Aldgate, I completed a degree in Animal Management and Behaviour at the University of Hull and I always wanted to work with animals.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling, spending time with my dog, Koda and fostering hand rears from my local rescue centre.

With that I was able to experience living in the place my father grew up and I spent many childhood holidays.
I am now very happy to be part of the rehabilitation team, because I always believed in combining skills to be able to give animals the best chances of a successful recovery and a good quality of life.
Nurses

I moved to Aldgate in Summer 2023 after taking a couple of years out of nursing to care for my young family.
I now share the role of Clinical Nurse Manager with Step. I love the variety and challenges it brings, working closely with the amazing nursing team to help the practice run as best it can with patients always at the forefront of our job.
I really like the fast pace a busy hospital environment brings and how no day is never the same.
At home, my husband and I are kept busy with our 2 young daughters, our Border Terrier Margo, Peter the cat and our horses.

Over the next 20 years I worked in a handful of practices around North and East Yorkshire in both permanent and locum positions, which is how I discovered the wonderful Aldgate. The team here are so caring, talented and committed to each patient they treat, and I’m really proud to be leading the nursing team with Jenny.
Outside of work I have a young family to keep me busy, and wonderful Border Terrier named Peanut to keep my lap warm on the sofa.

I’ve spent time in education teaching vet nursing and supporting practices with students. I enjoy running nurse clinics and training students.
I like to spend time with my son and walking my dogs, Spike a Jack Russell Terrier and a cocker spaniel named Elvis. I also have two horses – Jazz and Flynn which I enjoy spending my spare time with.

In my spare time me and my partner love travelling, paddle boarding and going out with friends. I also take my cocker spaniel Barney running with me!

I enjoy all aspects of my job but especially enjoy laboratory work, inpatient care and building a relationship with patients.
At home I have a range of rescue pets, including a dog, cat, a guinea pig and a royal python. I also grew up with a variety of animals and always knew I wanted a career working them.
In my spare time I enjoy going on hikes and adventures in our camper van with my partner and dog Paisley.

In my spare time I take care of my two beautiful horses. I’ve had horses since I was 7 years old. I like to explore, travel and embark on adventures with my other half.

I became a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse in December 2025. When not working I am kept busy with my Labrador, Luna and two cats Lupin and Sirius.

I joined the Aldgate team in May 2022 and have a keen interest in laboratory work and really enjoy nurse clinics where I get to meet clients and their pets.
Outside of work I enjoy gardening and spending time with my family which includes my 2 cats Billy and Biscuit.

I have completed a diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling (Canine) which also allows me to assist clients with behaviour queries and common problems! I really enjoy this aspect of the job as I get to meet and help so many clients and their dogs.
In my spare time I enjoy taking my chihuahua, Dexter, on walks around the sea and countryside, alongside spending time with my family, including my niece and nephew.

I completed my placement year with Aldgate in 2023/2024 where I fell in love with nursing. My favourite aspect of veterinary nursing is caring for the inpatients, ensuring their stay with us is the best possible and sneaking in all the cuddles.
I have two cats and a springer spaniel called Jazz, who is full of lots of energy. In my spare time I am often at the beach on a long walk with him. When I am not exploring the great outdoors, I enjoy going to concerts.

I enjoy all aspects of nursing from inpatient care to clinics.
At home I have an 8-year old tabby cat called Tinks and an Irish Sports Horse called Jeffrey.

Outside of work I enjoy walking, playing tennis and going to the gym and spending time with my family.

I have worked in Veterinary Practice for over 16 years, and I honestly love every day like it was my first. Every day brings new experiences. When I do have some spare time I love to get out on my Paddleboard.

After recently relocating to East Yorkshire with my family and working in some local practices including Aldgate, I felt like it was the perfect time for a change and decided to move from nurse to Insurance Co-Ordinator.
When I’m not working, I’m kept very busy with my daughter, two dogs, cat, chickens and ducks. In my spare time I enjoy dog walking, running and travelling Europe with my other half in our camper van.

From a young age I’ve had a passion and love for animals. I currently have 3 dogs of my own, which take up a good majority of my time away from work. When we’re not on our walks, I really enjoy arts & crafts and some occasional reading.

When I’m not at work, I’m usually spending time with my partner, our two children and our dog Peppa, who keeps us all entertained.

I’ve lived in East Yorkshire all my life, growing up in Middleton, Kilham and Market Weighton before finally settling in Driffield where I live with my young daughter, pugs and cat.
When not being kept busy with family life I enjoy reading, writing, singing, cooking and country walks.

Outside of work I enjoy travelling with my husband in our motorhome, and look forward to us finding new places to explore.

I enjoy working alongside the wonderful team at Aldgate, meeting new people and working with the amazing animals!
